To round off the summer season, Timor Port organized a site visit for the children of its employees, giving them the opportunity to explore the port and learn about the company’s environmental initiatives.

This second edition of the visit is part of Timor Port’s commitment to raising awareness among the younger generation about the importance of port activities and their strategic role in regional trade. Through this initiative, the company aims to open its doors to young audiences, to show them how it operates and its impact on local communities.

The day began with a presentation on Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) practices, enabling the young participants to understand the company’s safety and sustainability standards. The children were then invited on a guided tour of the various departments, including customer service, the technical workshop and the operations terminal, giving them an insight into their parents’ daily working lives.

One of the highlights of the day was a visit to the sea turtle conservation area. The children learned about the importance of protecting endangered species and the efforts Timor Port is making to promote the reproduction and survival of these emblematic animals.

This educational and immersive initiative, organized periodically, strengthens the ties between family and company, while raising awareness among young generations about environmental issues.
