Owendo Container Terminal (OCT) recently strengthened its fleet with the acquisition of six new Terberg YT193 terminal tractors last May. These state of the art machines, specifically designed for container loading and unloading operations as well as movements within the terminal, enhance the Terminal’s operational capabilities.
After obtaining the Green Terminal label in May 2022 and ISO 14001: 2015 certification in December 2023, the company continues to invest in next generation technologies. These new tractors outperform older models in terms of environmental performance, thanks to reduced fuel consumption and lower pollutant emissions. They are also equipped with ergonomic seats designed to improve operator health and safety, thereby contributing to increased productivity.
This transition to a more modern fleet reflects OCT’s commitment to environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
Today, Owendo Container Terminal has a total fleet of 24 terminal tractors, each playing a crucial role in supporting and strengthening port operations at the Port of Owendo.
