Joel Hounsinou, previously Managing Director of Africa Global Logistics, Côte d’Ivoire, is now the new Managing Director of CAMRAIL, the railway subsidiary of AGL (Africa Global Logistics) which is part of the Italian-Swiss group MSC and which is the concessionaire of the Cameroonian railway network. He replaces Pascal Miny, who has been called to other functions within AGL.

 

Joel Hounsinou holds an Executive Certificate from HEC Paris in Corporate and Business Strategy obtained in 2024, and graduated in 1993 from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce d’Abidjan (ESCA–INPHB).

 

He began his career in the field of auditing at ARTHUR ANDERSEN and COOPERS & LYBRAND, before joining SITARAIL in 1995. Three years later, Joel Hounsinou was appointed head of the sales department. In December 2000 and in his capacity as Chief Financial Officer, he actively participated in the implementation of the general strategy before being appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SITARAIL. In this capacity, he is responsible for operations, purchasing and finance, as well as responsibility for business development and communication. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of SITARAIL in June 2011, Joel Hounsinou was transferred to AGL Côte d’Ivoire as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2017 before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer in June 2020.
