On August 16, 2024, Africa Global Logistics Congo entered into a partnership with the Women In Logistics-Africa (WILA) association to support actions that highlight women in the supply chain in port and maritime environments.

 

AGL Congo is partnering with WILA Congo, an association committed to the promotion of women in the logistics professions, in order to encourage, raise awareness, train and guide women towards this sector of activity, which is traditionally reserved for men.

 

This partnership will make it possible to raise awareness within schools, as well as to share experiences, through participation in various forums dedicated to the supply chain.

 

With this in mind, WILA also wishes to organize a forum on the integration of women in technological and logistical innovations in the near future.

 

We are proud to have AGL Congo as a partner, because its commitment to inclusion, diversity and parity is well established. This pioneer in the integration of women in logistics will allow us to integrate more women in the maritime and port sectors

In Congo, we had the first female gantry crane operators from the AGL group, but this is not enough for more of them to work in jobs that were once reserved for men and to explore sectors where they are not very present. We therefore encourage WILA's actions that give a voice to women and raise awareness among those who are hesitant so that the logistics of tomorrow are done without distinction of gender.»
