At AGL, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our commitment to sustainable, inclusive development rooted in the realities of the African continent, Haiti, and Timor.
Our CSR strategy is built around three key pillars: promoting the decarbonization of logistics and protecting our blue planet, encouraging inclusive trade, and addressing social challenges in the regions where we operate.
Through these commitments, we actively contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and affirm our ambition to be a driver of positive transformation, serving people and sustainable progress.
Promoting the Decarbonization of Logistics and Protecting Our Blue Planet
Promoting sustainable logistics is the foundation of AGL’s sustainability strategy.
Several decarbonization actions have been identified as strategic and are being implemented to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
Investments in electric equipment, replacing thermal equipment, are ongoing across AGL entities. Electrification is AGL’s response to the challenges of energy transition.
Increasing the share of solar energy in our energy mix allows us to both control our energy sources and reduce CO₂ emissions. The Group aims to further increase the share of renewable energy in the coming years.
Providing our clients with low-carbon solutions is a major focus of our decarbonization strategy, through the development of greener transport offers (transport mode optimization, alternative fuels, telematics, and eco-driving).
Protecting marine and terrestrial biodiversity is another pillar of our sustainability commitment. A turtle conservation program was launched in Timor. Since 2022, over 4,000 turtles have been released into the wild. In addition, several mangrove restoration and seagrass protection projects have been initiated. These natural shields help mitigate climate change.

Encouraging Inclusive Trade
Establishing “ethical and sustainable” business relationships with our partners is part of AGL’s commitment to promoting inclusive trade.
Our subcontractors and suppliers are made aware of our sustainability goals and commit to them by signing our Responsible Purchasing Charter.
To fulfill our duty of care, we have implemented a supplier audit program. In parallel, suppliers are evaluated based on ESG performance criteria.
To integrate responsible purchasing into daily operations, our buyers are trained on human rights and environmental issues.
We promote circular economy practices and prioritize local purchasing to reduce our environmental impact and create value in the regions where we operate.
Our ambition is to engage our suppliers and subcontractors in a sustainability journey to create a virtuous ecosystem and encourage them to adopt the best environmental practices.
Addressing Social Challenges
At AGL, we believe that sustainable performance is first and foremost based on respect for people and communities. That’s why social issues are at the heart of our strategy, with the ambition to have a concrete and positive impact in the regions where we operate.
Promoting and protecting human rights is a top priority across all our activities and value chain. We ensure respect for everyone’s dignity and strict adherence to the fundamental principles of the International Labour Organization (ILO). AGL also fulfills its duty of care across its value chain and publishes an annual vigilance plan.
We also work to strengthen diversity, equality, and inclusion within our teams. These values are essential to building a company that reflects the societies in which we operate and fosters social innovation. AGL has established a Diversity and Inclusion Charter outlining our key commitments to non-discrimination, welcoming and integrating people with disabilities, gender equality, and youth employment.
Promoting a culture of health and safety at work is our top priority. We strengthen health and safety through dedicated programs (training) and strict internal policies (zero accident plan).
