Owendo Container Terminal takes delivery of six new port tractors

Owendo Container Terminal (OCT) has just expanded its fleet with the acquisition of six new Terberg YT193 port tractors last May. This state-of-the-art equipment, specially designed for the unloading and loading of containers as well as for their movement within the terminal, reinforces the operational capabilities of the Terminal.

After obtaining the Green Terminal Label in May 2022 and the ISO 14001 version 2015 certification in December 2023, the company continues to equip to itself with the latest generation technologies. This new equipment outperforms older models in terms of environmental friendliness, thanks to reduced fuel consumption and minimized emissions. In addition, they are equipped with ergonomic seats, designed to improve the health and safety of operators, thus contributing to increased productivity.

This trnasition to a more modern fleet reflects OCT’s commitment to environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Today, Owendo Container Terminal has a total fleet of 24 port tractors, each of which plays a crucial role in supporting and strengthening port operations at the Port of Owendo.

A major player in the country’s logistics chain, OCT employs nearly 300 Gabonese people and is developing a subcontracting policy that generates nearly a thousand indirect jobs.
