Conakry Terminal supports beekeeping, market gardening and livestock farming projects around the Haut Niger National Park
Conakry Terminal, a subsidiary of AGL (Africa Global Logistics), announces its support for the sustainable development project around the Haut Niger National Park, initiated by the NGO APIFLORDEV (Apiculture, Flora and Development).
This project aims to train local communities living around the park in beekeeping, market gardening and sustainable livestock farming techniques. It offers these communities an opportunity to access income-generating activities, while allowing the company to promote the economic autonomy of the populations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
Beekeeping will play a central role in preserving local biodiversity, while market gardening and livestock farming will help to strengthen food security and improve the living conditions of the people of the Faranah region.
By supporting this initiative, Conakry Terminal reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and the protection of the Haut Niger National Park, an ecosystem that is essential for the future of the surrounding communities.
«This project embodies our vision of harmonious development between the local economy and the preservation of the environment. By helping communities develop sustainable activities, we are not only contributing to the improvement of their living conditions, but also to the preservation of biodiversity for future generations.» Conakry Terminal's CSR manager
Through this initiative, Conakry Terminal reaffirms its role as a committed player for a sustainable future where economic prosperity and respect for nature are combined for the benefit of local populations.
