AGL supports the development of people with disabilities in Burkina Faso

On August 5, 2024, AGL Burkina Faso donated wheelchairs to the Burkinabe Association of Adapted Sports “ABUSA”, organizer of the African Handibasket tournament, a wheelchair sports competition reserved for people with reduced mobility.

This initiative aims to promote solidarity, encourage the practice of sport for all, as a factor of social cohesion and a guarantee of health, and also to promote the mobility of people injured during the war, in order to guarantee them better social care.

Thus, for the second time, AGL Burkina Faso supports the practice of sport within this community, with the aim of supporting the development of talent and the development of people with disabilities.

This event is also an opportunity for the company to reaffirm its commitment to the promotion of the values of sport, as a factor of social cohesion and peace.

«For us, Handibasket represents the values of solidarity, perseverance, combativeness and excellence among people with reduced mobility, who are thus able to follow their dreams to the end. These values, highlighted by sport, are shared by AGL Burkina Faso, which is committed to the well-being of the population on a daily basis. » Seydou DIAKITE, Country General Manager of AGL Burkina Faso

Through sports activities, AGL Burkina Faso also wishes to contribute to the good health of the population by avoiding diseases related to a sedentary lifestyle.
