AGL Congo increases its fleet of equipment
On August 13, 2024, AGL Congo acquired 52 latest-generation 6X4 tractors and 12 semi-trailers. The company has just increased its road fleet by nearly 17% and plans to exceed the 30% threshold by the end of 2024.
In order to be able to meet the growing needs of its customers for the provision of equipment, AGL Congo invests massively in the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment. 64 Sino-truck Hohan/Howo road tractors and 95 40″ semi-trailers have been ordered at a total cost of about 4 billion CFA francs (nearly 6 million euros). The 52 tractors and 12 trailers are part of the partial delivery.
The 6X4 tractors are suitable for the most complex road logistics thanks to the quality of the truck’s finishes inspiring robustness and reliability and a series of equipment (LCD screen, LED lights) offering maximum safety and comfort on the road. This equipment consumes little diesel and is in line with the group’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
«We believe in Africa and Congo. We will continue to invest in staff training and the acquisition of modern and high-performance equipment to support the economic growth of our customers and the country.» Christophe PUJALTE, Regional Director AGL Congo/DRC/Angola
AGL Congo has more than 300 road tractors and 53 semi-trailers. The acquisition of the 95 trailers by the end of the year allows the fleet to be renewed by 100%, and to increase its capacity and delivery times.
