AGL Benin and Benin Terminal actively participate in the 12th edition of the Africa economic meetings

AGL Benin and Benin Terminal, subsidiaries of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), participated in and contributed to the success of the 2024 edition of the Africa Meetings: the business event for success in Africa, which took place in Benin for its 12th edition. This event was organized at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou, from July 9 to 11, 2024, by the International Association of Francophone Regions (AIRF) on the occasion of the Francophonie Week of the territories, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Patrice Talon, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Benin and several major companies and institutions. 

 

The Africa Meetings brought together a hundred French and foreign decision-makers sent to Cotonou for the occasion, several institutional and sectoral actors and investors from Benin, Africa and elsewhere to boost North-South and South-South partnerships in view of the prospects and economic opportunities offered by Benin in the logistics sectors,  Digital, agriculture, agri-food, water, sanitation, energy, tourism… through various B2B networking interviews between professionals from the identified sectors.

AGL, committed to improving connectivity and developing a sustainable logistics ecosystem in Africa, actively took part in this event through its subsidiaries in Benin. The delegation, jointly led by Arnaud BOUHIER, Managing Director of the Benin-Niger cluster of AGL and Fabrice TURE, Managing Director of Benin Terminal, was involved in the various meetings alongside various private investors, international financial institutions and national public authorities.

 

The AGL stand in Benin, set up in the multipurpose room of the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou and open to the public throughout the event, was full of visitors. It welcomed many visitors for three (03) days, including business leaders from abroad, local SME / VSEs leaders and many local partners for B2B interviews with the teams of the Logistics Solutions Department (DISL) or those of the Maritime Solutions Department (DISM) or those of the Commercial Department of AGL Benin against a backdrop of business opportunities or tailor-made transport solutions,  making this location a center of great affluence in the space dedicated to logistics alongside the Autonomous Port of Cotonou and MSC.
