AGL CONGO ENCOURAGES RESPONSIBLE DRIVING

From 24 to 30 November 2024, AGL Congo worked with the Kouilou interdepartmental transport authority on road safety communication. More than 2,000 bus and public transport drivers were made aware of responsible driving in Pointe-Noire.

The messages delivered encouraged drivers to respect the highway code or to take training to ensure maximum safety for themselves and others.

«Safety at the wheel is a priority for AGL, particularly as part of our zero accident plan. We believe that it is essential to support initiatives to raise awareness of the rules of the road. The objective of reducing road accidents of all kinds is everyone's battle.» Destaing LOUKOMBO, HSE Coordinator

On 29 November, the HSE team got down to work to share best practice in responsible driving with our truck drivers and subcontractors. Games, questions and answers, amusing anecdotes and other methods were used to test knowledge and remind people of the code and rules of conduct.

The company, which has more than 200 drivers, from truck drivers to couriers, not forgetting employees, regularly organises in-house awareness sessions and defensive driving training.

Together let’s save our lives, let’s save lives!
