GABON : DPS RENOVATES 5000-TONNE UNIT FOR ENERGY CLIENT

DPS, a shipyard based in Port-Gentil and a subsidiary of the AGL group, recently carried out a major renovation operation of a Tamesis jackup, a 5000-ton shipbuilding and lifting unit, on behalf of its client DIXSTONE.

The work carried out as part of this operation includes the certification of two cranes, boilermaking and welding work on the bridge, the installation of a new winch foundation, the renovation of the paint and piping work. These technical interventions have made it possible to refurbish this mobile platform, used in the offshore industry, mainly for offshore drilling, construction and maintenance activities.

«This is the second large unit from an oil customer that we have welcomed this year to DPS. This illustrates not only the trust of our customers, but also our ability to take on large-scale projects. » Jean Michel ESCALLIER I Director of AGL Port Gentil

This renovation testifies to DPS’s expertise and know-how in the field of special unit maintenance. The Port-Gentil shipyard continues to meet the highest technical requirements, consolidating its reputation as a trusted partner for companies in the maritime and oil sector.
