AGL Guinea supports education by bringing school supplies to the orphanages
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Emmanuel MASSON, General Manager of Conakry Terminal, accompanied by several executives of the company, handed over school kits and food to the Kiridiya, Voice of the Voiceless and Good Samaritan orphanages in Conakry. This societal action is part of Solidarity Day, an internal event of the AGL which this year aims to carry out actions in favour of education and youth.
Composed of bags, notebooks, pens, slates, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, etc. These school supplies will allow the students of these orphanages to return to school and facilitate their learning during the school year. Through this gesture, the company renews its unwavering commitment to Guinea’s education system.
«We believe that education is the key to the development of a country. This is why on the occasion of our internal Solidarity Day event, we thought of helping the students living in these orphanages to allow them to find their way back to school as soon as it opens. We strongly believe that these children are the future executives who could be useful to Guinea in the future by bringing their know-how for the development of the country.» Emmanuel MASSON, Managing Director of Conakry Terminal
AGL Guinea and Conakry Terminal continue their commitment to education by supporting several philanthropic and educational projects across the country. This financial, human and moral investment has already enabled the construction of primary schools in Bendèfikhè, Boffa prefecture, and in Totala, Kankan prefecture, a school for underprivileged children in Mamou prefecture. AGL in Guinea promotes academic excellence through the granting of scholarships to students of ENAM (Ecole Nationale des Arts et Métiers) and continues to cover the operating costs of the training center for people with disabilities in Mamou.
