The actors of the “New TMS” project trained in change management
From May 14 to 16 in Paris, fifteen executives from Africa Global Logistics participated in a training session on change management. This seminar, designed to strengthen leadership skills, aimed to prepare executives involved at the central level of the company in managing numerous projects to navigate effectively in a constantly evolving environment.
The seminar, conducted as part of the Prosci Change Management Certification program, was an interactive three-day learning experience during which participants acquired the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to foster adoption and adherence to the changes they need to implement.
Over three days, project leaders involved in the implementation of AGL’s new transportation management system as well as other major projects of the company were familiarized with the fundamental concepts of change management, effective strategies for leading change, communication plans to engage all stakeholders, and techniques to identify and overcome resistance to change.
«This training was essential to embed change management support in our managerial practices. The company is implementing numerous projects that require leaders to be equipped to effectively tackle the major challenges aimed at improving our company's competitiveness» Franck Benoist, Director of the “New TMS” project
This Prosci training is part of the many initiatives implemented to prepare for the rollout of the new TMS. An expert workshop is also scheduled for May 28, 2024, with logistics experts selected as part of this project.
About the New TMS
“New TMS” is the major business project that will enable Africa Global Logistics to have a new Transportation Management System (TMS) to meet the expectations of its customers and logistics partners. The New TMS will take into account the entire ecosystem of our needs as African logistics providers: from quote preparation, file management, customs, invoicing, transport management (maritime, air, and road/rail), tracking events monitoring and reporting, with modern and powerful technologies and tools. This project includes the digitization of paper files and all related documents, interfaces with institutions and administrations, real-time margin visualization per file, and high-performance dashboards and reporting systems.
